Our branch
Victoria
The Institute’s Victoria branch provides a vibrant forum for discussing digital health and health informatics issues, promotes networking amongst members and provides numerous opportunities to keep up to date with the vast array of digital health developments.
The long-established branch started in 1984 with the formation of the Nursing Computer Group (Vic). In 1991 the group hosted the Nursing Informatics ’91 congress, an event of IMIA NI and changed its name the following year to Nursing Informatics Australia. The branch is proud to have been a member of the original foundation group assisting in the development of the national professional association the Health Informatics Society of Australia in 1993.
Upcoming Events
The Institute hosts dozens of events nationally each year.
