I work with clinicians to optimise electronic health care systems and workflows

Award-winning health informatician and registered nurse

My passion for health informatics was sparked in 2010 as a graduate nurse witnessing the challenges faced by clinicians to adapt to evolving technologies and consequent models of care. Keen to be part of the growing movement promoting informatics skills in health care settings across multiple disciplines, I embarked on an academic pathway focussing on experiences with electronic platforms and the importance of participatory design and digital literacy. More recently, I’ve applied my skills as an application specialist, working with clinicians to optimise health care workflows.

My involvement in one of Australia’s largest EMR implementations and both theoretical and applied knowledge of complex sociotechnical environments has given me invaluable expertise and insight into the issues facing the health workforce today as we move forward in this exciting era of digital health.

I am keen to contribute further to the health care and business space with my health care, informatics, entrepreneurship, user experience design, advocacy and leadership skills.
