Lucy Falcocchio

I am motivated by the presentation of opportunity that promotes a person’s ability to use innovative solutions to achieve better outcomes. My passion for ensuring access, equity and better health outcomes was ignited in my role within the HIV & Health Promotions Unit, for the NSW Department of Corrective Services throughout the 90’s. This role served to be the catalyst, in my desire to seek innovative ways to engage and overcome the barriers in achieving better health outcomes.

A career in education, employment and performance management, eventually led me to the remote Kimberley region of Western Australia. In 2011 I became part of the Kimberley Aboriginal Medical Services team and commenced the task of project managing the implementation and continued development of their integrated shared electronic health record. I have worked as the Health Systems Development Manager since 2014.

Working in an environment where innovation and proactive improvement is encouraged and embraced by the organisation, reflects in the delivery of better health outcomes for patients. Contributing to the ongoing development and continued improvement of this system, has opened the gateway to years of data collected, of which the benefits of such analysis is utilised in the provision of better healthcare.
