I work to ensure digital health systems are secure and designed to deliver the best outcomes to patients, clients and residents.
As a technology & information security Executive, I am values-oriented, appreciate the relationship and importance of people on technology programs and processes (coupled with innovation and information) to understand organisations’ operations and enable better ways of working. I encourage my teams to be the best version of themselves by giving them opportunities, tools, the appropriate level of autonomy to encourage innovative thinking, and support to reach their potential. I am proud that members of my team received in multiple occasions Excellence Awards for their outstanding work.
The opportunity to continuously evolve professionally and personally inspires me on everything I do. Learning and sharing are constants in my every day, and for the teams I lead.
I also had the privilege to work and deliver transformational programs for various private and public sector organisations, in different industries and domains, including the automobile industry, aviation and the health sector. I find to be motivating witnessing opportunistic technology services being designed and deployed.
Before entering the Victorian Health System, I implemented the first global e-Business portal for the automobile industry at General Motors Corporation in Latin America, Africa and the Middle eastern. I also introduced the Secure Erase technology to the Australian Government and influenced the update of the Information Security Manual (ISM) to review non-volatile magnetic media sanitisation controls (controls 1065, 0354 and 1067). As a result for bringing this technology to Australia, I received the ZDNet Emerging Innovation Technology Award.
I am passionate about developing and implementing cybersecurity strategy and programs, which improves our cybersecurity maturity and position us to better protect the interests of our organisations. I chaired both the DHHS Vic Health CIO Cybersecurity Working Group (CSWG) for two years, which represents eighty two public health services in Victoria, and the Hume Region CSWG for three years, which represents seventeen health services.
