Grant Hawgood

Passionate about using data to improve productivity in the health and social services sector and empowering clients to participate meaningfully in their own care
Grant is a psychologist with certifications in governance, finance and health informatics.
His passion is to use data to improve workforce productivity in the health and social services sectors and to take an evidence-informed approach to demonstrating client outcomes. Grant contributed to service planning and workforce planning activities as part of implementing the Queensland Plan for Mental Health 2007–2017, the largest investment in mental health in Queensland’s history. As a senior manager in the not-for-profit sector, Grant has a career characterised by providing strategic and practical advice on integrated service planning and design, measuring and monitoring client outcomes and implementing integrated business management systems. He is experienced in leading multidisciplinary approaches to redesigning services to improve access, efficiency and workforce productivity. He has an interest in engaging frontline clinicians to design ways to measure and monitor meaningful client outcomes.
Grant founded Social Outcomes Australia to provide consulting services to the private and not-for-profit health and social services sectors. Grant is a Certified Health Informatician and has been a member of the Queensland Branch Executive of the Health Informatics Society of Australia since 2015.
