I work to ensure patient safety is at the centre of everything we do.
I am the Australian Digital Health Agency’s Chief Clinical Information Officer, and have over 30 years’ experience in Hospitals and Public Sector Organisations, including more than 14 years’ experience as a Registered Nurse, primarily in paediatric and adult intensive care. I am also a credentialed Fellow of the Australasian College of Health Informatics (ACHI) and was recently elected President of the ACHI Council.
In 2017, I was awarded a Churchill Fellowship to study methods to prevent patient harm through national digital health safety governance and have been traveling in the UK, USA and Canada to research what these countries have been doing to ensure patient safety is paramount.
