Joining the Institute gives individual and organisational members opportunities to connect more, learn more and share more all while working together to represent a unified and influential voice for the progression of digital health and health informatics.
When you join the Institute you get a network of diverse people from across the sector, access to valuable industry content and tools to continually develop your career. You also receive member discounts on becoming a Certified Health Informatician (CHIA), attendance at Australasia’s premier digital health and health informatics conference and on-demand learning opportunities.
About your membership
Current members
We would like to inform our current members that the membership year will now run from 1 January to 31 December, starting in 2027.
That means that 2026 will be a transitional year, with a membership period from 1 April 2026 to 31 December 2026.
New members
Members joining now will have membership valid until 31 December 2026.
Full-year or pro-rata rates will apply based on joining date:
- 1 January – 31 May: full-year rate, membership valid to 31 December
- 1 June – 30 September: pro-rata rate, membership valid to 31 December
- 1 October – 31 December: next year’s full-year rate, membership valid to 31 December of the following year (3 months complimentary)
Memberships are not refundable, and unused entitlements cannot be transferred.

Become a Fellow of the Institute
The Australasian Institute of Digital Health accepts Fellowship applications from leading health informatics and digital health practitioners. Fellowship of the Institute recognises outstanding professional accomplishment in digital health and health informatics. You will hold the highest membership level of the Institute, acknowledging your education, experience and the impact you make on the health sector.
New Zealand residents who are members of Health Informatics New Zealand are encouraged to apply for Fellowship of the Institute. AIDH and its New Zealand counterpart HINZ have worked in close collaboration for many years on health informatics developments, networking and conference support. The Institute promotes membership of New Zealand’s peak professional informatics body.

Students must be enrolled full-time in a course related to digital health that aligns to the mission of AIDH. Students obtain all individual member benefits, except free subscription to Health Services Daily (HSD).
