CERTIFIED HEALTH INFORMATICIAN AUSTRALASIA (CHIA)
Why CHIA?
Health informatics is fundamental to the delivery of healthcare. The need for skilled health informaticians will only grow as the volume of health information grows, along with our reliance on digital systems for managing, storing and using health data.
Be a digital health leader in your workplace! CHIA indicates to employers that you have core, up-to-date knowledge of health informatics and the ability to apply these across a vast range of delivery models and settings.
The CHIA credential shows that the individual has a broad grounding in health informatics knowledge and experience.
Health informatics is a broad field, and candidates come from a variety of backgrounds with various strengths in their health informatics knowledge. The CHIA credential signifies that a health informatics professional possesses the core health informatics knowledge across six established knowledge domains and has been assessed through the CHIA examination.
CHIA assesses the skills and knowledge of an individual through the assessment of their experience with the eligibility process to sit the exam and then their competency and knowledge through the examination process.
