From the Frontlines
The Institute held its first virtual conference From the Frontlines last Friday (24 April) putting the spotlight on virtual care and telehealth innovation and adaptation emerging from frontline workers, healthcare organisations and technology entrepreneurs involved in fighting the COVID-19 pandemic.
Thirteen speakers from Australia, France, India and United Arab Emirates shared their virtual care experiences and answered Q&A live online after each session.
The conference was chaired by Gillian Mason, from the University of Newcastle, a physiotherapist, rehabilitation researcher, consumer advocate and science communicator.
Registered delegates have “on demand” access to all presentations through Digital Health TV, the Institute’s educational video channel.
Key topics were: Telehealth ramping up in primary care; innovative education on hygiene; digital first responders; public health responses with telehealth; virtual hospital; using data on the hospital frontline; protecting indigenous communities; technology in tracking dashboards.
