Jeannie Marie Paterson is a Professor of Law and co-founding Director of the Centre for Artificial Intelligence and Digital Ethics in the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology at the University of Melbourne (CAIDE). Jeannie’s research and teaching focuses on the ethical and regulatory challenges of AI. Her current projects cover misleading AI (incl deep fakes, scams and misinformation), and the regulation of AI agents, companions and assistants (incl for mental health support).
Marina Yastreboff is an award-winning General Counsel and technology law leader with senior roles at ServiceGen, Cochlear, UNSW, and Philips. She specialises in AI governance, data protection, IP, and complex R&D commercialisation. She serves on national standards committees for information security and brain-computer interfaces, as President of AUSCL (the Australasian Society for Computers & Law) and on several boards, including the Starlight Foundation's Data and Digital Advisory Board. She is recognised for bridging medicine, advanced technology, and law to shape responsible innovation.
With more than 30 years experience across corporate affairs and public policy, Ms Shorten brings deep expertise in stakeholder engagement and technology governance to the public services boards in Australia. She is recognised nationally for her work at the intersection of innovation, regulation, and community trust.

Abigail is a Greens MP in the NSW Legislative Council. Prior to her election in 2019, Abigail spent over two decades practising law in Sydney and London, specialising in global banking regulation for clients in over 40 different countries. During 2008 she worked on the frontline of the global financial crisis in London to manage the economic fallout of the crash.
Since being elected, Abigail has continued to work passionately to campaign for an economy that puts people before profit. She is widely recognised for her leadership in her many portfolios, and her work as Chair of numerous parliamentary inquiries. Most recently, she has been Chair of the NSW inquiry into data centres.

Since July 2018, Kate Quirke has been the Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Alcidion Group, a company dedicated to providing smart technology to the health sector. Kate leads the business globally with current focus on Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom with a goal of developing mutually beneficial relationships with customers, partners and investors.
Kate has 25+ years of digital health sector experience and has been involved in large procurements and implementations of healthcare information technology across Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom and South-East Asia. Her background includes leading management roles at large healthcare software firms where she has driven strategic product direction. She strongly believes that the astute application of information technology will support the transformation of healthcare delivery worldwide.
Kate is a Non-Executive Director of ANDHealth and previously served on the Board of the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Foundation for 16 years. During 2021, Kate was recognised as one of Telstra Health’s inaugural Brilliant Women in Digital Health and named Biotech Daily’s CEO of the Year.
In 2020, Kate won the Executive Leader award in the inaugural B&T Women Leading Tech Awards. She received her Bachelor of Applied Science Health Information Management degree from Latrobe University
Dr. Emeline Ramos is a Physician Executive at InterSystems, a creative data technology provider dedicated to helping customers solve critical scalability, interoperability, and speed challenges in healthcare and beyond. She leads clinical strategy and digital health initiatives across the Asia-Pacific region, with a focus on the practical implementation of AI within electronic medical records to improve clinician workflows, usability, and patient care.
Before joining InterSystems, Emeline was a Head & Neck surgeon in the UK, and held research leadership roles at AstraZeneca, including serving as Medical Director in the company's early-phase clinical trials unit. Her experience spans frontline medicine, pharmaceutical R&D, and digital health transformation, giving her a unique perspective at the intersection of clinical care, AI, and healthcare technology.
Bettina McMahon is the Chief Executive Officer of Healthdirect Australia. She is on the Board of SNOMED International, and former Board Chair of the Australasian Institute of Digital Health.
She has considerable experience in digital transformation in the health sector over the past 15 years, and across the public sector prior to that. Prior to joining Healthdirect, Bettina was the Interim Chief Executive Officer at the Australian Digital Health Agency, where she had also held executive roles since 2009. Bettina has postgraduate qualifications in public policy, applied finance, and business and technology.
Amanda Cattermole PSM is the Chief Executive Officer of the Australian Digital Health Agency, a role she commenced in September 2020.
Auspiced by the governments of Australia, the Agency is the steward for digital enablement of Australia’s health system, with a lead role in coordinating national engagement, delivery and adoption of digital health to enable person-centred, connected healthcare.
Amanda has previously held senior roles in Commonwealth entities, including Treasury, the former Department of Families, Housing, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs, the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet and Services Australia. She has also held senior State government roles in the Victorian Department of Health and Human Services and the Western Australian Department of Indigenous Affairs.
In her earlier career Amanda worked as a lawyer in Victoria, the Northern Territory and Western Australia.
Amanda holds a Bachelor of Laws, a Bachelor of Commerce, a Master of Laws and a Master of Business Administration. In 2013, she received the Public Service Medal for outstanding public service leading reform in providing housing for Indigenous people in remote communities and the National Gambling Reform laws
Dr Seetharaman brings 23 years of medical and leadership expertise to the role, combining a strong foundation in medicine with deep expertise in healthcare digital transformation.
He has held leadership roles at major multinational corporations spearheading healthcare initiatives across technology and consulting domains. He has extensively worked with governments, public health agencies and provider networks across the Asia Pacific, Europe, US and Australia, contributing to advancement in national interoperability initiatives, digital patient engagement platforms, personalised medicine, disease surveillance, population health and preventive care.
