University of Tasmania

Founded in 1890, the University of Tasmania has a history spanning 125 years. It is ranked in the top ten research universities in Australia and in the top two per cent of universities globally. It is also renowned for its teaching excellence and engagement with industry.

We continue to lead the way in teaching, based on a range of competitive awards including those from the Australian Government’s Office for Learning and Teaching. With more than 30,000 students, the University of Tasmania provides a creative and stimulating environment at its campuses in Tasmania, New South Wales and overseas, providing opportunities for our students to engage in an international learning experience through student exchanges and a multi-cultural campus life. We use leading technologies for on-line program delivery.

The University has had a presence in New South Wales since 2006. We began a valuable partnership with St Vincent’s Health Australia back then and we have had the opportunity to develop new partnerships and diversified the courses on offer since. With extensive industry engagement, we offer dynamic and relevant Masters degrees in e-Health, through the Faculty of Health, and health information management, through our specialised Australian Institute of Health Service Management in the Tasmanian School of Business & Economics.
