As the Government reviews its national digital health strategy and priorities, we look at the opportunities and challenges in Australian healthcare system reform and change. Over the last 18 months, we have witnessed the benefits of digital health starting to shine through in the form of daily reporting of COVID-19 data, the funding and uptake of telehealth and virtual care as modes of healthcare delivery, and electronic prescribing becoming more standard business practice.
How can we continue this momentum? Are there other ways to approach reform and change to leapfrog ahead?
This discussion will reflect on industry and global trends as health providers continue to platform their services and consumers seek better access to care with greater personalisation while maintaining data privacy and security.
How can we leverage these trends to create greater efficiencies, deliver better consumer experience and make it easier for practitioners to deliver care?
As an outcome of this discussion, we seek to redefine our aspirations and paint a picture of what it could be, and consider proactive changes and incentives that could provide the opportunity to leapfrog ahead.
Hosted and facilitated by AIDH Fellow Paul Cooper, we will be joined by leading industry experts on a facilitated panel discussion.
